My name is Andrea Price. I became a clinical mental health counselor because I believe families are able to heal and move forward in their therapeutic process. As a mental health counselor, I have provided treatment to adults, children, couples, and families for issues ranging from behavior, adjustment, depression, family conflict (i.e., divorce, infidelity, families with transgender children), families of addicts, post traumatic stress, religious abuse, and domestic violence. In treating clients, I have learned to treat the whole person by helping them to maintain their resiliency through proper meal planning, rest and developing an exercise regimen. I incorporate different breathing techniques and the use of all-around self-care modalities. The modalities I have been successful in incorporating into counseling are Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
My motto to live by is: “Be good to yourself! Joy is real and possible!”
